Snowmass is about families. You keep running into three generations skiing together. You notice the kids shredding the half-pipe, the boarders waiting for the ski patrol to drop the rope into Hanging Valley Headwall, the grownups acting a third their age, thrashing the powder in Garrett's.

At the end of the day, even the folks at the ski-in, ski-out condos head down to the Mall for drinks and tall tales. Funny - it's the biggest crowd they've seen all day.
